Recently, members of the North Dakota Pottery Collectors Society contacted the library looking for additional information about pottery known as "Standing Rock" or "Fort Yates" pottery. Little is known about this exceedingly rare and collectible pottery except that it was associated with the WPA (Works Progress Administration) projects of the 1930s and a man named Bruce Doyle who had connections both to UND pottery and Pine Ridge pottery.
