Dakota Goodhouse Presents his Makȟóčhe Wašté: The Beautiful Country Lakȟóta Landscape Map

Standing Rock historian Dakota Goodhouse presented his work this week at Sitting Bull College. His work is shedding new light on obscured place names and the stories associated with them. The Makȟóčhe Wašté (Beautiful Country) is the homeland of Lakota/Dakota people that stretches across much of the American interior. You can read about and view the map here
